Nutrition and education for shepherd children in Kenya
With Africa Digna Foundation

We promote a dignified life for 120 shepherd children aged 6 to 16 in Lodokume, Lowa and Lulu, where herding prevents access to education and adequate nutrition. Through the ‘Lchekuti’ programme, we provide two hours of daily classes and one balanced meal each day. At the end of each term, families receive their children’s academic results and share a community meal. This is our sixth collaboration with Africa Digna Foundation on this programme, which transforms the children’s daily routines and enhances their present and future wellbeing through education, health, and family support.

Menstrual hygiene project for Samburu girl in Kenya
With Africa Digna Foundation

We support access to menstrual hygiene products for 800 girls from the Samburu community in Kenya. The lack of proper resources leads to school absenteeism and health issues, especially in rural areas. This programme provides comprehensive hygiene kits to improve the girls’ health, self-esteem, and wellbeing, helping to reduce educational inequality. The use of reusable products also lowers environmental impact. This initiative is part of a broader approach with Africa Digna Foundation to promote dignified and sustainable opportunities for girls and their communities.

Schooling for children with visual disabilities in Uganda
With Babies Uganda Association

We support the CEVIC Centre in Uganda, founded by a local couple to provide quality education to children with visual impairments. Most of the teachers are also blind, creating an inclusive, empathetic, and transformative environment. We fund the school expenses of 50 children for the 2024–2025 academic year, covering tuition, accommodation, food, and specialised medical care. In a country where disability remains a taboo and access to social support is limited, this project offers a safe and dignified alternative. We are committed to the holistic development of these children, helping them build autonomy, self-esteem, and a future full of opportunities.

Construction of a children’s classroom in Soussoutou, Senegal
With Gune Foundation

Since 2016, we have worked with Gune Foundation to promote education in Senegal through school infrastructure. In the village of Soussoutou, many classes are still held in straw and reed huts with no basic conditions. This year, we are funding the construction of a new cement classroom, directly improving the learning environment for 229 children. This initiative adds to the three classrooms and toilets we have already built in the area since 2020. We believe in providing a safe and lasting school where children can study in suitable conditions. We are investing in their educational present and the sustainable development of the community.

Construction of a school in Saré Maoundé, Senegal
With Gune Foundation

In the village of Saré Maoundé, children must walk between 5 and 8 kilometres to attend secondary school. In 2024, the Senegalese Ministry of Education created a new institute, but classes are currently held in provisional straw huts lacking adequate conditions. We are collaborating with Gune Foundation  Guné to fund the construction of a cement school for 160 children from the village and nearby communities. This infrastructure provides a safe and appropriate learning space, improves current educational conditions, and is a direct investment in the future of rural children and community development.

Program against baby malnutrition in Guinea-Bissau
With SILO Association

In Guinea-Bissau, malnutrition severely affects babies, especially in rural areas. Seventy percent of breastfeeding mothers cannot produce enough milk due to their own undernutrition. Together with the SILO Association, we run an emergency programme that distributes powdered milk and essential food to 100 babies over nine months. This support enhances physical development and reduces the risks linked to chronic malnutrition. The project also boosts overall family health, strengthening their ability to ensure a safer, healthier childhood. It provides a direct response to an urgent and structural need.

Feminine hygiene project in Guinea-Bissau
With SILO Association

Many teenage girls in Guinea-Bissau lack proper menstrual hygiene products, which limits their school attendance and affects their health. Together with the SILO Association, we distribute hygiene kits containing reusable pads, underwear, natural soap, and oral hygiene products. The project benefits 400 girls aged 12 to 18 from Gambasse school and nearby communities. This initiative improves hygiene, promotes preventive health, and reduces absenteeism. Since the items are reusable, the project also supports environmental sustainability.

Maternal and baby nutrition programme in Mozambique
With IBO Foundation

From the Ibo Nutritional Support Centre (CANI), IBO Foundation fights malnutrition in collaboration with Mozambique’s public health system. For the fourth consecutive year, we support this programme, which assists around 350 children under the age of five. It provides early diagnosis, individualised treatment, and medical follow-up, alongside educational workshops with families. Malnutrition remains an emergency in this region, and this programme addresses both its immediate and structural causes. Our collaboration aims to improve living conditions and foster healthier, more sustainable development for children and their communities.

Treatment of congenital malformations in Madagascar
With Feettogether Association

In Madagascar, many children are born with congenital foot deformities, such as clubfoot, which limits mobility and quality of life. We partner with the Feettogether Association in a programme using the Ponseti method: a non-invasive, effective, low-cost treatment. The goal is to treat 350 children, including previously diagnosed but untreated cases. In a precarious healthcare context—with only one doctor per 10,000 people and long distances from health centres—this programme offers a safe and realistic solution. It also includes personalised follow-up to ensure full recovery and prevent relapses, encouraging physical and social autonomy.

Child health programme in Sierra Leone
With Sant Joan de Déu
Hospital

Sierra Leone faces major health challenges, with a life expectancy of just 60 years and one of the world’s highest child mortality rates. In collaboration with Sant Joan de Déu Hospital, we fund treatment for 140 children under five with common but serious illnesses such as malaria, malnutrition, and intestinal diseases. This programme follows a medical sponsorship model: for an average of €43 per treatment, children receive consultations, medication, and specialised follow-up. Our support ensures that the most vulnerable children receive essential medical care, reducing mortality and improving their quality of life. This project strengthens the hospital’s mission in one of the most challenging contexts on the continent.

No more cataracts for kids programme
With Elena Barraquer Foundation

Through the #NoMoreCataracts4Kids programme, we partner with Elena Barraquer Foundation to provide eye surgery for children with cataracts in 13 countries. Childhood cataracts can lead to irreversible blindness if not treated promptly. This initiative enables children aged 5 to 16 to regain their sight through free surgical interventions. The programme includes 125 surgeries, delivery of adapted sunglasses, and eye exams to detect other vision issues. Early intervention not only restores vision but also promotes social inclusion and academic development. This project demonstrates how eye health can radically transform a child’s future and that of their environment.
