Maternal and child health and nutrition in Calcuta
With Colores de Calcuta Foundation

In Pilkhana, Kolkata, many families live in extreme conditions: shanties without electricity, water, or ventilation, in a highly vulnerable environment. In our fourth collaboration with Colores de Calcuta Foundation, we support a maternal and child health programme for mothers and children at risk. Two mobile units visit 17 marginal neighbourhoods, conducting 4 to 5 visits per area monthly. Families receive medical follow-up, referrals to Talapark Clinic, preventive workshops, and direct care for young children. This project ensures equitable access to healthcare, improves nutrition, and strengthens child protection in a persistently excluded context.

Empowering indigenous girls in Nepal
With Bahadur Social Project Association

In Gorkha, Nepal, girls from indigenous communities such as the Chepang face high illiteracy, school dropout, and lack of access to basic hygiene products. In collaboration with Bahadur Social Project Association, we distribute menstrual and school hygiene kits to 240 girls under 16 in four schools. The kits also include training in health, first aid, and preventive education. This intervention helps keep girls in school and improves their living conditions. It builds self-esteem, fosters community participation, and promotes personal development, acting as a catalyst for change in an environment that restricts their opportunities.
