Nutrition and education for children in Kenya

With the NGO Africa Digna

60 shepherd children from northern Kenya need nutritional and educational help. The Foundation, in collaboration with the NGO Africa Digna, finances his meal and two hours of class per day for a year.

The objective is to reduce the high level of malnutrition and illiteracy of the shepherd children (8 to 17 years old) of the Samburu communities of northern Kenya (communities of Lowa, Lulo and Lpusi).

Some details of the program provided by the NGO Africa Digna:

  • Due to the reality that shepherd children work all day; the program offers them two hours of night education a day.

  • At the end of the classes, the program provides the participating children with a meal.

At the end of each term of study, the parents of the shepherds are summoned, in order to communicate the follow-up of their children in their studies and the program offers a simple meal to all of them.
