Improving health and nutrition in foster homes in Peru
With Amantaní Association
With Amantaní Association

Our collaboration with Amantaní Association now spans seven years of supporting healthcare and nutrition programmes for babies, children and adolescents living in situations of family neglect and vulnerability in Cusco, Peru.
The project is carried out in residential care centres, where children receive comprehensive support that addresses their basic healthcare needs through paediatric consultations, medical examinations, specialised treatments and ongoing monitoring. In addition, they are provided with balanced and adapted nutrition, including specialised diets tailored to each child’s individual needs.
Many of these children come from extremely vulnerable backgrounds marked by abandonment, violence or poverty. As a result, the programme not only addresses their physical health but also contributes to their emotional recovery and overall well-being.
During this period, the project will support 50 children, ensuring continuous medical and nutritional care that significantly improves their quality of life and their opportunities for healthy development.

With Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos Foundation

Our collaboration with the Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos Foundation now spans nine years of supporting the health and nutrition programme at Casa San Andrés, a residential home that provides care for vulnerable children and adolescents in Guatemala.
The project ensures access to balanced nutrition and comprehensive healthcare for children living in residential care, many of whom have special needs or disabilities. In addition, it provides access to medical treatment, psychological support and essential healthcare services that contribute to their well-being and development.
During this period, the programme will benefit 89 children through its nutrition component and provide residential care for 46 children and young people aged between 0 and 18, of whom 16 have a disability, ensuring their care and well-being within a safe and protective environment.
Beyond meeting basic needs, Casa San Andrés offers a stable and nurturing environment where children receive ongoing support and opportunities for personal development, helping to improve their quality of life and enabling them to grow up in dignified conditions.
