Collaboration with the program #Invulnerables

With Rosa Oriol, FBC and La Caixa Foundations

Launched by the Foundation Rosa Oriol, the Foundation FC Barcelona, the Obra Social La Caixa and the Generalitat, #Invulnerables is a program to fight poverty directed to children and families who live in conditions of extreme vulnerability. It intends to meet their basic needs, offering integral support to the family and orientation to parents. It will spread out to seven territories according to territorial indicators of the risk of poverty and exclusion social:Figueres, Manlleu, Lloret of Sea, Manresa, The Vendrell, Tortosa and Lleida.

The Foundation Nuria García will take part in the purchase of  food and hygiene products for 50 children from 0 to 3 years.

Menjars Al Insti

With Gavà Red Cross

Children above 12 years do not have access to public food grants as pecified by the Generalitat. In many cases, the teenager family continues needing this help.

Red Cross proposes to start in Castelldefels a pilot program, already in place and successfull in other municipalities. The program detects the situations of risk and provides a daily lunch, to be taken at school or at home during the holidays (through pre-loaded cards).

The Foundation will support this project called Menjars al Insti in Castelldefels as of september 2016.

Collaboration with a nutrition program in the area of Ciutat Vella in Barcelona

Foundation Roure is an organisation that works in alliance with other local entities at Ciutat Vella’s neighborhood and carries out several programs of support to the population of the neighborhood. One of them is a project called “The Pantry” to distribute food to 370 people of the neighborhood in very precarious situation (169 children).
