 With AEMA SSCL

AEMA is an organization in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelona) that manages a shelter house and two open centers. The Foundation finances a year of healthy snacks for children from families in a precarious situation who go to one of the open centers to receive school support and their snack (and in many cases it is also dinner).

Launched by the Rosa Oriol Foundation, the FC Barcelona Foundation, the Obra Social la Caixa and the Generalitat, it is a program to fight poverty aimed at children whose families live in conditions of maximum vulnerability. The program is responsible for covering basic needs, such as offering accompaniment and comprehensive support to the family, as well as guidance to parents. It is deployed in seven areas according to the territorial balance and based on the results of the indicators of poverty and social exclusion: Figueres, Manlleu, Lloret de Mar, Manresa, El Vendrell, Tortosa, and the Mariola neighborhood , in Lleida.

In Catalonia, poverty has a child’s face, and behind each of them, there is a family living a bad situation. The Nuria García Foundation will participate in the purchase of nutrition / hygiene packs for 50 children from 0 to 3 years old.
